Delete your account

You can delete your LastLit account at any time. It's permanent and happens straight away: there's no waiting period, and it can't be undone.
How to delete your account
In the app (iPhone or Android)
- Open the Me tab and tap the settings icon.
- Tap Delete account.
- Type your password and confirm.
On the web
- Go to app.lastlit.com and sign in.
- Open Me, then the settings icon, then Delete account.
- Type your password and confirm.
By email
If you can't sign in (for example, you've forgotten your password, or your account was closed for breaking our rules), email support@lastlit.com from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. We'll confirm the request comes from you, delete the account, and reply to tell you it's done.
What's deleted
Everything that belongs to your account:
- your account details: username, email address, date of birth and password;
- every photo you shared, lit or faded, and their captions;
- your spotlight notes;
- your votes, including any on photos that are lit right now, so they come off those photos' totals;
- the reports you made and the people you blocked, and the reports and blocks about you;
- your notifications and settings;
- the push tokens for your devices;
- any waitlist entry for your email address.
Your username is free for someone else to take afterwards.
What we keep
- Photos a moderator removed for breaking our rules are kept privately, out of public view, for 365 days from when they were removed, for safety and legal reasons, even after you delete your account. Then they're deleted.
- Moderation records: the scores our automatic check gave your uploads, and moderators' decisions, such as removing a photo. They contain no images. We keep them so we can show how a decision was made.
Copies may remain in our hosting providers' backups and logs until those expire. The Privacy policy explains all of this in more detail.
Only on the waitlist?
Use the unsubscribe link in any email from us, or email support@lastlit.com, and we'll delete your entry.
